Foundation learning students were challenged with an enterprise project to raise money for charity.
Eight groups of students had a budget each of £20 to make, promote and sell a product to make a profit. They made gloves, t-shirts, key rings and organised car washes to mention a few of the activities undertaken.

Construction students at North Notts College are starting work this week on building an extension to their own department.
This is the first time that students have been involved in a project of this size which will give them valuable work experience and allow them to gain site-based qualifications to help them in their future careers, whilst providing improved facilities for the expanding Construction department. North Nottinghamshire College’s newly-refurbished fitness suite was officially opened by Worksop Town centre forward Danny Bacon and fellow team mate Chris Wood.
The College has recently invested £10,000 in upgrading the suite, which includes new cardio and resistant equipment as well as additional teaching and learning facilities. The facility will be available for use by all College students and staff and enables the College to put into place plans for an exciting expansion to its Sport and Leisure curriculum. Read more

A pioneering partnership between North Nottinghamshire College and Lincoln Cathedral has reached a milestone with the first four master craftsmen from the Cathedral Works Department qualifying as assessors to support future trainees.
NNC ran the course for the assessors at Lincoln Cathedral and the first four have been awarded NVQ A1 Assessor Certificates. They are Stonemason Paul Atkin, Lead Worker Tony Greensmith, Glazier Tom Küpper and Joiner Allan Toyne.

Nineteen students who have recently graduated from a pioneering two-year Trainee Health Professionals course at North Nottinghamshire College received prizes and certificates at a leaving ceremony at the College. Awards were presented by NNC Principal John Connolly and Deputy Nursing Director, for Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Foundation Trust Victoria Bagshaw.
As well as studying 18 different units ranging from caring for vulnerable adults to public health, the students, known as cadets, completed 15 week work placements with Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospital, enabling them to gain experience by shadowing professionals and supporting staff on a wide range of wards as well as speciality areas including accident and emergency and social work placements.
