GRADUATION SUCCESS FOR NNC STUDENTS

Posted November 11th, 2011 by dthornton with Comments Off

More than 250 guests attended North Nottinghamshire College’s annual Higher Education Graduation Ceremony last week at the National Fluid Power Centre in Carlton Road, Worksop.

The 62 Higher Education students donned their gowns and mortar boards to receive their awards from Dr Gill Scott, Dean of the School of Education at Nottingham Trent University and a Governor at North Nottinghamshire College.

The address was given by Rob Pittman, a former pupil at the Robert Ludlum School in Worksop who worked for the BBC for more than 20 years before setting up his own business last year specialising in public relations, film making and media training.

College Principal John Connolly was Master of Ceremonies and said afterwards: “It is always a joy and a privilege for me to share in these celebrations – the best part of the job!

“It was also particularly rewarding to see a number of current and former staff colleagues receiving awards tonight.”

After the formal ceremony, students, family, friends, governors and staff enjoyed a buffet prepared and served by the Catering and Hospitality students.
