General and Community Education

At North Nottinghamshire College we understand that it is not always possible to get to College, which is why we offer courses in the local Bassetlaw community at a variety of venues such as schools, community centres and village halls.  We understand how important it is to provide flexible learning and offer the option of drop-in facilities at certain venues.  For up-to-date information regarding courses or facilities we offer in the Bassetlaw area ring 01909 504522.

You can choose courses to improve your career opportunities or to help you get back into learning after a break. We offer a number of language courses where you can learn the lingo for those foreign holidays or ideal for those thinking of moving to sunnier climates.  There are no exams or portfolio building, just the enjoyment and challenge of learning something new.  After completing the course should you decide to take it further we offer numerous courses in French and Spanish leading to A Level standard.

We offer Computing for the complete beginner right through to advanced stage, so you can join in no matter what stage you are at.  There is also a range of vocational courses such as Floristry, Creative Crafts, Card Making, and if you want to get back to the basics English and Maths.

For the full range of courses available in the community please click here.
