Changing Rooms

On Thursday 11th February the BTEC Level 1 / E2E Sports group organised a trip to Wembley Stadium. Students prepared transport, identified the hazards of the trip, and learnt all about England’s National Stadium. The tour included a visit to England’s changing rooms ( and being able to sit on their favourite player spot was a real bonus). They also visited the player’s warm-up zone, VIP reception area, the royal box, dugouts, post-match interview area, press conference room, treatment rooms, the Bobby Moore Statue, and even got their hands on a £80,000 replica FA cup. The students were eager to join in, asking questions and always at the front ready for more. going to wembley 3This an excellent example of implementing the College Vision of ‘MAKING A DIFFERENCE’ and the tangible impact it can have, just look at all those smiling faces.

Their next sports event is on Friday 19th March from 9.15- 2pm, where students and staff will be continuous rowing in order to raise funds for the local ‘See Ability Not Disability’ (SAND) Club. This is in-line with the National Sports Relief Events. Look out for details in College.
