Plumbing and Heating - Domestic (EMTA/EAL NVQ Diploma Level 3)

Course Overview

This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to become a qualified plumber. The subjects covered include a range of practical skill based units that will also develop your underpinning knowledge of different plumbing methods, techniques and practices.

Entry Requirements

Candidates would normally be expected to have completed a Level 2 qualification in plumbing. Other relevant experience and qualifications will be considered on an individual basis. You will also undertake initial diagnostic tests and interview before starting the course.

Assessment

Assessment is by a range of tutor assessed practical assignments and on-line knowledge tests

Progression Route

You may progress to employment in plumbing and other related careers. Alternatively you may consider a Work Based Apprenticeship Scheme which combines employment with work based assessment.

3rd Step

INVITED FOR AN INTERVIEW

You will be invited to attend College for a pre-course interview, which will include a guided tour of College and its grounds, assessment tests in literacy, numeracy and learning styles and an interview with a course tutor from your chosen subject area.

4th Step

CONFIRMATION

Subject to a successful pre-course interview you will be offered a place on a course suitable for your abilities in the area of your choice. Sometimes these are subject to conditions such as exam grades.
Further information relating to enrolment, induction and pre-course meeting, will be posted out to you before the start of your course.
