North Notts College was awarded East Midlands Further Education Provider of the Year recently by the National Centre for Diversity at their annual FE Sector Diversity Awards evening at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, on Tuesday 15th November 2016.

The National Centre for Diversity hosted their first annual FE Sector Diversity Awards evening to celebrate commitment and shining examples of excellent work around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion from across the UK’s FE Sector. North Notts College, part of the RNN Group, was recognised for its Investor in Diversity status as the Regional FE Provider of the year for East Midlands.

The evening brought together some of the country’s most innovative, inspiring and influential people from the FE Sector, to celebrate the many achievements of FE organisations, their staff and students from across the UK.

Denise West, HR Director at college commented “We are enormously proud to have been recognised as the FE Provider of the Year 2016 by the National Centre for Diversity, because it is a very much valued recognition of our unswerving commitment to equality and fairness for all.”

Chief Executive of the National Centre for Diversity, Solat Chaudhry, commented: “I am incredibly proud and thankful to all those who attended our first FE Sector Diversity Awards evening. I want to offer huge congratulations to all our award winners, each of our award winners and those who were shortlisted were very deserving of this level of recognition. I hope to see even more members of the National Centre for Diversity family at next year’s Awards evening!”

The National Centre for Diversity has already confirmed the date as the 16th March 2017 for their next event, which will be the Grand Awards 2017.
