Hi my name is Pip Lee and that’s me pictured on the right at the top of Gribin Ridge, wild camping in Snowdonia.
I came to College in September 2009 as a Level 2 sports and fitness student and during that year I changed from a shy person into a mature student who would try anything. I had a particular interest in outdoor activities with Alan Viggers, who was one of my tutors, and this is where my confidence really began to grow. I continued onto Level 3 sports and fitness and never looked back.
I have taken part in three college challenges namely the 10 Peak Challenge, the Isle of Mull Challenge, and some of this years Diamond Jubilee challenges as well as many other activities, such as Hill walking, Mountain Biking, ski-ing, snow boarding, surfing and water ski-ing to mention a few.
The last three years have helped me to make me who I am and know what I want to do. I have increased my confidence and achieved various qualifications which has helped me to gain the Apprenticeship Sport Fitness assistant post in the sport department, which I am just settling into. North Nott’s College is a great college and has helped me from 16 years old to achieve and be the person I am today.
