Kickstart Scheme

Are you 16 – 24 and not currently in full-time education or employment?

Are you looking to Kickstart a career in Business, Childcare and Education, Construction, Engineering, Hair and Beauty, Healthcare, Hospitality or Motor Vehicle?

We can help!

What is the Kickstart Scheme?

The Kickstart Scheme is a £2 billion fund intended to create hundreds of thousands of high-quality six-month work placements for young people aged 16 – 24.

We’re working with local employers, through our local Job Centre’s, to offer Kickstart opportunities across a range of industries.

If you’re not currently in full-time education and are unemployed, a Kickstart role – where you can gain valuable work experience on a six-month placement and earn a wage – could be just the boost you need to start your career.

What Jobs are Available?

We’re working with employers from a range of industries to offer Kickstart Scheme placements.
If you’re interested in a Kickstart placement you will:

  • Be employed for a minimum of six-months
  • Work a minimum of 25 hours per week and earn at least the National Minimum Wage for your age group
  • Should not need to undertake extensive training before beginning your placement

RNN Training’s Role in the Kickstart Scheme
