The health and social care sector is ideal for those who have a passion for caring for others and includes jobs in personal care and healthcare.
Midwives support pregnant women and their babies before, during and after, childbirth.
Giving pregnant women advice on staying healthy, run classes on pregnancy and parenting, check the health of mother and baby during pregnancy, monitor the mother and baby during labour, deliver the baby and visit people’s homes to check on mother and baby.**
You could work at a client's home, at a health centre or a hospital.

Social workers help to protect vulnerable children and adults from harm or abuse and support people to live independently.
Put together support plans for clients, keep records and write reports, discuss your cases with your supervisors, support clients safety and take the right action to protect them when necessary, work closely with communities, health professionals and other agencies, help clients to develop and maintain independent living skills and hold meeting and assessments with individuals and families to review their situation.**
You could work in an office, NHS or private hospital, an adult care home or children’s care home.
