Level 1
This qualification is for those wanting to enter the plumbing industry. It gives you the opportunity to pick up some core skills and knowledge which gives you the opportunity to progress onto either of our Level 2 and 3 Plumbing or Electrical Installation qualifications.
Level 2
This qualification is for you if you are a 16-19 year old learner who wishes to work towards becoming a plumber in the building services industry. It has been designed to deliver a high level of occupational skills and provide a platform from which to progress through further learning through an apprenticeship programme or into employment. This vocational route at level 2 is a vital step towards becoming a competent plumber.

City & Guilds domestic heating and plumbing courses cover the essential knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in domestic plumbing and heating. Areas of study include:

The NVQ Level 2 plumbing and heating qualification is designed for anyone who wants to become a plumber or domestic heating engineer. It provides all the basic domestic heating and plumbing training you need to start working in the industry.
The NVQ Level 3 plumbing and heating qualification is aimed at anyone who has already completed the Level 2 qualification, or who already has some relevant experience and knowledge. If you choose gas-related units at Level 3, you will achieve the Gas Safe licence to practise on successful completion of the course.

Construction skills qualifications provide the ideal introduction to the construction industry and cover essential skills in plumbing.
For individuals of any age wanting an introduction to the variety of construction trades, to gain skills in those areas, and perhaps to decide which trade is the right one to pursue a career in. No previous knowledge or experience is required.
