Tourism and Hospitality is available through Rotherham College (also part of the RNN Group).
As one of our students you’ll have the opportunity to become part of the exciting world of tour guiding, event management and hospitality. Our tourism and hospitality courses include topics such as the UK economy, heritage, cultural industries and sustainable and responsible tourism.
You’ll learn from our talented tutors who’ve worked in the industry and are passionate about helping you gain the skills needed to start your dream career.
Trips and work experience are a key part of this subject. Previous students have visited major airports and
have helped run the Holiday Inn in Rotherham as supervisors for a week.
As well as learning about the industry and meeting new people, you can also study for a range of additional qualifications to boost your career opportunities. You can enhance your learning with residential trips and travel within the UK, attend tourism trade shows and get involved in planning fundraising events.

Hotel Managers are in charge of the day-to-day running of travel accommodation.
Greet customers and deal with complaints, set budgets and sales targets, promote the hotel, follow health and safety licencing and laws, manage corporate booking and recruit, train and organise staffing.**
