North Notts College in Worksop is undertaking some small changes to the courses it offers from September 2018. These changes reflect what is occurring nationally and is in line with the funding available to support students studying these subjects and ensuring the College provides provision with a fulfilling experience to support the learner’s future career.
From September North Notts College will stop offering catering and hospitality courses from Level 1 to Level 3 at Worksop. All individuals interested in studying catering and hospitality will be given the choice to study hospitality skills at The Wharncliffe Restaurant at Rotherham College, a college within the same group as North Notts College. The kitchens and restaurant at Rotherham College are larger and better equipped, and will offer learners additional real-life learning opportunities, with more customers, which will provide them with the skills and qualifications to work in the industry. Or alternatively North Notts College will support individuals to find other suitable courses delivered at the College or locally.
Art and Design courses will continue to be offered by North Notts College, however the subject will move to the Retford Post 16 Centre from September. Moving Art and Design will provide the opportunity to grow progression routes and Higher Education locally in future years.
North Notts College continues to offer a wide range of courses at different levels across of number of subjects. The College provides technical hands-on learning opportunities in Construction, Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Hair and Beauty, Computing, Health and Social Care, Childcare, Public Services, Sports and more.
