Come along and ‘Try a Trade’

1 June 2016

North Notts College is holding interactive taster sessions to help those who are currently taking their GCSEs with their options. The College is putting together a ‘Try a Trade’ event to promote vocational courses as a viable alternative to A-Levels with the progression route to university in many areas and in to employment.

We offer a wide range of vocational courses and apprenticeship opportunities to help individuals gain hands-on experience and nationally recognised qualifications with work experience to aid transition into employment.

To gain more understanding about the range of vocational options that we offer, we are inviting anyone regardless of age or qualification level, to come along to one of our ‘Try a Trade’ days at the College on Tuesday 14th and 28th June from 4pm. You will also have the chance to get a feel for college life, and also get a taste of a career that you may be interested in before making that final decision.

To book yourself onto one of the ‘Try a Trade’ sessions go to www.nnc.ac.uk/tryatrade and following the simple steps or call 01909 504500. There are two sessions held on each day at 4pm and 5pm and you will need to book your place at the time most convenient to you. If you are unsure of the career path you wish to follow, you can book in for more than one session at different times.

There will be opportunities to try Business and Accounting, Catering, Computing and Games Development, Art and Design, Horticulture, Childcare, Construction, Engineering, Hair & Beauty, Health, Media & Creative Arts, Public Services, Sports and Travel & Tourism.
