Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Treatments
As one of the first students to pass our new Level 4 Advanced Aesthetics course, Jodie has achieved an important milestone in her career. Studying as an adult evening learner, she returned after completing Level 2 and Level 3 Beauty to further extend her knowledge in this growing sector.
Now qualified, Jodie is renting a treatment room, working with her own clients, and continuing to grow her business.
Why did you choose to study your course?
“I already had my hairdressing qualification and wanted to complete my beauty training. I started with Level 2 Beauty, progressed to Level 3 Beauty, and then returned to expand my knowledge with Level 4 Aesthetics. After gaining experience in nails and eyebrows, I wanted to focus more on skin and continue developing my knowledge.”
Which skills have you developed during your course?
“During Level 4, I developed skills in skin needling and chemical skin peels. These treatments were carried out in a safe, clinical setting as part of the qualification. The course has helped me build confidence in offering advanced aesthetic treatments.”

What part of the course have you enjoyed the most?
“The depth of learning in Level 4 has been the highlight, especially exploring the skin, body, muscles, and chemistry in more detail. It built on what I learned at Level 3 and helped strengthen my overall understanding. I also really enjoyed the practical sessions, particularly massage and facial treatments.”
Can you share any challenges you have overcome?
“Balancing evening study with having children was important, and the flexible course made that possible.. The exams were a challenge, as they included practical, written, and online assessments. Completing and passing them gave me a real sense of achievement.”
Do you have any advice for future students?
“If you are thinking about it, go for it. The course is enjoyable, especially if you’re interested in skin and aesthetics. There’s a good balance between theory and practical work, which keeps it engaging.”
Where do you see yourself in five years?
“In five years, I’d like to have more clients and continue building my business, JR Aesthetics & Beauty. I’m currently renting a room and working independently, which is a positive step forward. Level 4 has opened up lots of opportunities, and I’m excited about what comes next.”
