If you have creative flair and are interested in applying make-up for a range of services, our Media Make-up courses are for you.
On our Media Make-up courses you’ll train within our dedicated media make-up classrooms and develop skills in airbrush make-up and cosmetic camouflage, prosthetics and special effects techniques, creative hairdressing and styling, face and body art and more.
As well as taking part in regular masterclasses and industry guest speaker sessions, there will be opportunities to work on-location with models and performers and provide a wide range of creative makeup services in media, theatre, and fashion and photographic settings. Our tutors will support you with entering into the World Skills UK competition, plus other trade shows and make-up industry exhibitions.
Learn the skills required for a career working in the fashion, performance and photography industries as a Make-up Artists, in our dedicated Hair and Media Make-up salons at Retford Post-16 Centre. On our Media Make-up courses, you will: - Learn airbrush make-up and cosmetic techniques - Develop crucial skills in prosthetic make-up - Acquire new knowledge and understanding of special effects techniques - Learn creative hairdressing and styling - Work with face and body art. Our courses will connect you with industry, as you take part in regular masterclasses, hear from industry guest speakers and learn from experienced tutors who continue to work as Make-up Artists outside of their teaching commitments. You will boost your portfolio and industry experience through working on a range of productions with local theatre groups and schools, and showcase your skills in industry competitions such as World Skills UK.
