Performing Arts

“Do it big, do it right and do it with style.” — Fred Astaire

For some people, being on stage or their name in lights is all they’ve ever dreamed of and if that’s you, a career in the performing arts could be just what you’re looking for. But there’s also careers in this sector that allow you to stay behind the scenes such as directing or screenwriting.

There’s no doubt that it’s a competitive industry, so be prepared for knock backs, with perseverance and resilience often the key to success. There are sometimes opportunities to travel, but hours can be long and so flexibility is a must. Creating a strong network with those already in the industry alongside honing your talent will help you in making those first steps towards realising your ambitions.
