Catering and Hospitality

Offered at

Rotherham College North Notts College

We offer courses in Catering and Hospitality at Rotherham College (also part of the RNN Group) where you will gain hands-on experience in our very own commercial training restaurant, The Wharncliffe.

Here you will learn in a fast-paced environment, craft your cookery skills in the kitchen and perfect professional customer service skills with lunch, afternoon tea and dinner service, plus organise and cater for charity events and test your new skills in competitions.

All of our Catering and Hospitality courses are taught by tutors with years of industry experience who will pass their knowledge on to you to use within the classroom and beyond.

You will learn both the practical skills and theory needed to work in the industry including training in both a kitchen and a front of house setting in everything from knife skills, food and beverage service and barista skills to pastry, confectionery and menu planning. These skills will prepare you for career opportunities in restaurants, cafes, hotels, restaurants, cruise ships and holiday parks.

We have a range of courses available in every aspect of catering and hospitality, so you can choose to specialise in the area you love the most and take the first steps towards your dream job. Our courses will give you the skills and knowledge required to have a successful career in the exciting and vibrant sector.

As one of our students you will have many exciting opportunities available to gain experience and test out your new skills including catering for large conferences, University Centre Rotherham’s graduation and the busy Christmas period.
