Getting to College by bus

Our Worksop and Retford campuses are close to many bus routes across North Nottinghamshire. The Traveline journey planner can help you plan a route and get information about public transport services:

North Notts College offers a student bus service from Retford to Worksop to make it quicker and easier for you to access College. There is a small fee of £2 per day, however students who are eligible for bursary are able to have this fee covered. Passes can be picked up from Student Services.

Getting to College by train

North Notts College is located a short walk away from Worksop train station (WRK) and our Retford Campus is located a 15 minute walk away from Retford train station (RET).

If you travel a lot by train you could benefit from a railcard. A 16-17 saver railcard gets you 50% off standard anytime, off peak, advance and season tickets. It’s just £30 and is valid for one year or until your 18th birthday, whichever comes first. For more information visit:

A 16-25 railcard can get you 1/3 off rail travel for everyone aged 16-25 for just £30 a year.

Mature students can also apply for a one year railcard, which can be extended with evidence of continuing to study every year.

Getting to College by car

We offer free car parking at both North Notts College’s Worksop Campus and Retford Post-16 Centre for students and visitors.

Post-16 travel assistance

Nottinghamshire residents under 19 can apply for a post-16 travel assistance pass including half-fare passes, season pass and travel allowance available. Visit and search for post-16 travel assistance for full details and eligibility criteria.
