You will learn all the key skills needed to become a Bricklayer, such as constructing half brick and solid walling, cavity walls, arches, solid wall piers, decorative fireplaces and chimney stacks.
Other skills include trowel skills, brick bonding and building complex masonry. Alongside practical skills you will also study welfare, site procedures and health and safety in construction.
You’ll also get to meet key employers in the trade and carry out work experience that will enhance your CV.
On our courses you’ll learn all the key skills you’ll need to become a Joiner.
You will learn how to use wood machinery and power tools, explore timber technology, timber floor and roofing techniques, modern truss roof construction, all aspects of kitchen fitting, building partition walls and fitting door linings and fitting doors.
You will gain hands-on knowledge and skills of domestic electrical installations allowing you to work towards a career as an Electrician.
You will need to achieve a level 2 and level 3 course as well as a competency-based qualification to be a fully qualified Electrician.
Our Plumbing courses will prepare you for work in the domestic and industrial sectors.
You will learn a range of practical skill-based units, plus a variety of bending and jointing techniques, as well as learning how to fit central heating systems, underfloor heating, environmental technologies and gas systems.
Our students also enjoy visits to local employers where they see real-life projects in action.
