- Learners should be aged 19 or over.
- There are no formal academic prerequisites for this course.

- It is recommended that learners have some experience in a learning, training, or workplace environment, although this is not essential.
- This course is also suitable for practitioners who previously completed the D32/33 or A1 qualifications and wish to refresh or update their theoretical knowledge as part of continuing professional development (CPD).
