This qualification provides learners with an introduction to the Forest School ethos and learning in the outdoors. It is designed to enable learners to develop an understanding of the principles and ethos of a Forest School.
You will complete one mandatory component titled “Introduction to the Forest School Ethos and Principles”. Your studies will cover:
- An introduction to the Forest School ethos and learning in the outdoors.
- Methods of identifying woodland species.
- How play can assist in Forest School activities
We provide a suitable learning environment where learners spend a significant amount of their guided learning hours in an outdoor setting with their trainer or assessor. We also utilise blended learning, where elements of theory are covered.
The minimum age for learners is 14.It is recommended that learners have literacy and numeracy skills
