This course provides you with the opportunity to study a range of topics related to childcare and education.
You’ll study a range of topics including:
- Young Children’s Development
- Importance of Play for Early Learning
- Safeguarding the Welfare of Children and Young People
- Craft Activities with Young Children
- Introductory Awareness of Sensory Loss
- Learn from industry-experienced and well qualified tutors who have spent many years in the Early Years sector and have specialist qualifications and knowledge to bring to their teaching
- Participation in work placement to develop your skills
- Opportunities to take part in cross-college events
- Guest speaker sessions with a range of representatives from children’s services, day nurseries, primary schools, special schools and children’s centres
- Links with Early Years settings including nurseries, primary schools, day care.
- 3 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above including English and maths GCSE or equivalent Functional skills or;
- Level 1 Childcare
- A clear DBS check
- Successful interview with a Course Tutor

- Early Years Apprenticeships
- 16-18 year olds do not need to pay course fees
