Football Academy Programme

The Momentous Football Academy Programme offers learners a unique opportunity to pursue their passion for football while studying towards a Level 3 NCFE qualification. This dual-focus programme is designed to support both academic and athletic development, enabling students to gain valuable knowledge and skills that open pathways into sport-related careers or further education. Learners will train on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1pm to 3pm under experienced coaches, honing their technical, tactical, and physical performance. Wednesdays are reserved for match days, allowing students to put their training into action through competitive fixtures. This balanced approach ensures learners can thrive both in the classroom and on the pitch.

As part of the Momentous Football Academy Programme, learners will study the NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Sport, a nationally recognised qualification designed to provide a strong foundation in the sports industry. The course covers a range of engaging and practical units tailored to aspiring athletes and sports professionals. Key topics include Anatomy and Physiology, where students explore how the body functions during exercise; Fitness Training and Programming, which equips them with the knowledge to design effective training plans; and Sports Coaching, offering insight into planning and delivering coaching sessions. Learners will also study Psychology for Sports Performance, Practical Team Sports, and Nutrition, helping them understand the mental, physical, and dietary needs of athletes. The course is assessed through a mix of practical assignments, written work, and observations, providing a hands-on, real-world learning experience that complements their on-pitch training schedule.
