This qualification is for learners who want to start a career in digital media. It is an ideal qualification for learners intending to progress directly to employment in the digital media sector of the creative industries, or to a related Apprenticeship such as a creative digital media Apprenticeship.

Promoting Digital Industries is a LEP priority but most employment opportunities locally are as technicians, Web designers, admin, marketing. There are employment opportunities for learners with computing skills in all of the local companies including the larger employers such as NHS, Premier foods and Wilkos. The development of HS2 will provide further opportunities for IT graduates, cyber security, data analysts, IT technicians, digital marketing and web management.
