You might not know what day it is. You might have binge-watched the entire Tiger King series on Netflix or completed a Marvel marathon on Disney Plus.

A change of pace and the chance to learn something new might now be creeping its way on to your agenda.

Maybe you’ve been considering learning a new skill or developing your knowledge for a while and lockdown has allowed you to finally do it.

Maybe you’ve been furloughed and you see a distance learning course as an opportunity to update your skills, they’re great for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), or take the first step towards a new career.

Whatever your motivation our range of distance learning courses could be perfect for you.

Our courses are FREE

Our distance learning courses are free to learners over the age of 19 with a full Level 2 qualification and to anyone over the age of 24.

You can choose from 22 different courses in subjects as diverse as Health and Social Care, Education and Childcare, Mental Health, Nutrition and Health, Customer Service and Business Management.

Each of our courses is made up of between two and four modules and leads to a recognised qualification upon completion.

Designed to be Flexible

The beauty of a distance learning course is that they are designed to be completed from the comfort of your own home. You decide how long to dedicate to your learning each day and there are no classes to attend or exams to sit – meaning you can learn at your own pace and around existing commitments.

With no classes to attend or exams to sit, and whether you can dedicate minutes or hours to your learning each day, our distance learning courses fit around your lifestyle.

Fast and Efficient Learning

Self-development isn’t linear, which is why, with all the resources you’ll need at your fingertips, you can work as quickly as you like.

Each course is available for a set amount of time (between 9 and 17 weeks depending on the course), but we’ve seen people complete courses in just a few days.

Recognised Qualifications

If you’re using distance learning to take the first step towards a new career you’ll want to know that you can trust that the qualification you’ll gain at the end of the course is widely recognised and valued by businesses.

So, as well as the assurance that you’re completing a course through one of the region’s premier providers of education and training, all of our distance learning courses are awarded by awarding organisation NCFE. NCFE is one of the nation’s leading exam boards and their qualifications are sought-after and respected throughout the world.
