The Plumbing workshop at College is the ideal space for you to turn your pipe dream into your reality. Here, you will learn from our vastly experienced members of staff as you develop all the skills you need to pursue a career as a plumber, working in both homes and businesses. 

Equipment

Our purpose-built workshop has been designed together with local employers to ensure that it replicates the working environment. It is fit with 16 working bays, which include sinks, toilets, boilers, radiators and all the essential tools and materials you’ll need, such as: 

• Plastic, copper and steel pipes 
• Electric cutters 
• Steel cutters 
• Hand conduit benders
• Hacksaws 
• Screwdrivers
• And much more

Health and Safety

The Electrical workshop is a safe and clean environment, where every student and member of staff undertakes continuous health and safety training. This includes a health and safety induction and training before using specialised equipment and tools. Students are also expected to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes safety boots and high visibility vests.
